Overview

  • SSC CHSL is held every year in three tiers: Tier-I (CBT objective), Tier-II (descriptive + skill test).
  • Posts include Lower Divisional Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator.
  • Selected candidates are posted across various ministries and departments in Group C.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian citizen (or eligible subjects of Nepal/Bhutan/Tibetan refugees as per SSC rules)
  • Passed 12th (Higher Secondary) from a recognised board
  • For DEO in C&AG: 12th with Maths as a subject (Science stream)
  • Age: 18 to 27 years (relaxation: SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwD +10)
  • Computer typing speed: 35 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi (for typing test)

How to Apply

  2. 2Login and select 'CHSL Examination' from active applications
  3. 3Fill exam centre preferences and post preferences
  4. 4Upload photo and signature in prescribed format
  5. 5Pay application fee: ₹100 (Female/SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen exempt)
  6. 6Download and save the final submitted form

Notification: usually April–May; Tier-I exam: June–July; Tier-II: November–December.
